We use around 500 kwh per month. If I pay $2 per kwh, then I will be paying $1000 tax per month. If I assume there are 150 million families in US, then the total revenue will be 150000 million per month. That is $150 Billion. Multiply by 12 and we get $1800 billion. This should be enough to run the federal government.
After paying this tax to the local utility company, I should be free from all federal taxes.
US uses 400 million gallons of gas per day. If we all agree to pay $2 more per gallon, the revenue will be $800 million per day. Mean $292 billion per year. All 50 states can be run using this amount.
That means we all will be free from paying any tax anywhere any time ! Does this make sense?
